Politics in Pakistan

More provinces within Pakistan's Punjab province

Growing lawlessness and mismanagement of Shahbaz Sharif administration is becoming a source of embarrassment for President Asif Ali Zardari

Pakistan is today facing yet another crisis. This  time it is Punjab government which initiated a bill got it pass through Provincial assembly of Punjab through consensus sending it to the Centre. So far so good, but then there was Asif Ali Zardari Pakistan's president who is now a seasoned politicians. His political acumen has now placed PML N once again to political decimation.

There is no doubt that Punjab is facing serious governance crisis and its populations is more than 85 millions. Also in 2012, President Zardari has passed on powers and money to the provinces through 18th constitutional amendment. Poor performance of Punjab government is now bringing a bad name to the federation. Masses and general public is not much clear that provincial governments today are more powerful than the centre and they are accusing PPP for growing inflation and lawlessness.

It is now time for the President to ask governors in the provinces particularly Punjab with a largely disproportionate population, to take stock of performances of provincial governments and ask them either to improve governance or undertake administrative divisions on emergent grounds.
